1. Data controller

Valtek is the controller of the personal data collected through https://valtekve.com (the “Site”). Contact for privacy matters: contacto@valtekve.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to handle your enquiry and to operate the Site:

• Contact form: name, email address and the content of your message, plus the Site language you sent it from.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the date and time of access, recorded automatically by the Site's hosting provider for security and diagnostic purposes.
• Cookies: the Site sets no cookies of its own. If Valtek enables Google Analytics, that service may set measurement cookies; in that case IP addresses are anonymised and you can block them from your browser settings.
• Fidely passes: if a merchant issues you a gift card, coupon or loyalty card through Fidely, we process the name and email the merchant uses to deliver the pass, the pass identifier and its redemption history, solely to operate the service and show the balance or benefit in Google Wallet or Apple Wallet. Passes contain no bank card data and you can remove them from your wallet at any time.

3. Purposes and basis for processing

We process your data to: answer enquiries sent through the contact form; prepare the service proposals you ask us for; keep the Site secure and working correctly; and, where analytics is enabled, understand in aggregate how the Site is used. The basis for processing is your consent (given when you submit the form) and Valtek's legitimate interest in operating the Site securely. In Venezuela, this processing takes place within the framework of article 28 of the Constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela (Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) and the applicable case law on data protection (habeas data). Visitors from the European Union or the European Economic Area additionally hold the rights set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Retention period

We keep contact form messages for as long as it takes to handle your enquiry and, at most, for 24 months from the last communication, unless a contractual relationship is formalised, in which case they are kept in line with the applicable legal and contractual obligations. Technical logs are kept for the period set by the hosting provider (usually no longer than 90 days).

5. Processors and third parties

To operate the Site we rely on providers that process data on Valtek's behalf and under its instructions:

• The provider of the contact form submission service, which receives the form data and forwards it to our mailbox.
• The Site's hosting and content delivery network provider.
• Google LLC, only if Google Analytics is enabled.

We do not sell or hand your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We will disclose it only where a competent authority requires it under the law.

6. International transfers

Some of the providers listed may be located outside Venezuela or process data there (for example, in the United States or the European Union). In those cases we require appropriate contractual safeguards to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, updating, erasure and objection to the processing of your data at any time, and withdraw the consent you have given. To do so, write to us at contacto@valtekve.com stating the right you wish to exercise. We will reply within a maximum of 15 business days. If you believe your rights have not been honoured, you may turn to the competent authority or court.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration, including encryption of communications with the Site (HTTPS) and restricted access to the messages received.

9. Minors

The Site and its services are aimed at companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy to reflect legal changes or changes in our services. We will publish the version in force on the Site with its last updated date.
